During my time at GEN Korean BBQ, I designed menus for GEN and its sister brands, Kan Sushi and Kayak Burger, and styled and photographed the food in-house. Taking each menu from the photo shoot to the final layout gave me a chance to shape how the food and each brand’s personality came across. With GEN’s 50+ locations across the U.S., I also learned how much the small details matter: menus varied by region, so I fine-tuned each version to suit the local offerings while keeping a consistent look across the brand.
